We present to you an intimate interview we had with him both oral and on print.

Where are you from?
Eket, Akwa ibom state, Nigeria

How long have you been making music?
About a year now

How many songs /albums have you released to date?
I have an EP of 5songs that is unofficially out

Can you tell us about your latest release and the background/inspirations behind it?
Well if you are talking about my EP, its called The Overcomer and like I earlier mentioned it has 5 inspiring songs. I went on to record the EP overcomer because of the many things God has brought me through and for the ones I am yet to see the manifestation. The song Overcomer came when I realized I am not some man trying to win life’s battles but that I have the victory already in Christ, because whatever is born of God always overcomes. Every song in this EP was inspired by the Holy Spirit and they are my testimonies geared towards bringing hope to people and ultimately give God glory.

How have/did you ended up in the music industry?
Well, I believe God has ordained me to serve Him and humanity in this area. I have been singing since I was a child, from the children’s choir of my church and music wouldn’t let me go. When I came of age, I felt I was going to do something else but God has kept on using me in this area, until He says otherwise I don’t have a choice, I am the clay he is the potter.

What do you think of the music industry in 2016?
Well, I am not thinking a lot about it. I just have desires

Who do you think is the most influential artist?
Well, this depends on your definition of influence. For me, if you aren’t impacting lives and becoming everything you are called to be then you are not influencing anything.

Who have you collaborated with so far in your career?
Daniel S. Diago, Sunny Baseda, Sarah Tiainen, Juuso Savolainen, Esther Edoho, James Edikan, Progress Effiong. Its been a real blessed privileged to work with these people.

How do you think you differ from other artists?
I am honestly still in the process of discovering my very uniqueness in music. But so far I know, I am crazy, I am not rigid and I depend totally on the Holy Spirit.

Who Will you love to have a collaboration with?
Wow! That will depend on the song… I will love to work with people like Chioma Jesus, Buchi, Nathaniel Bassey, Freke Umoh, Tye Tribbett, you see I will want to work with people with powerful testimonies.

What was the first album you bought as an artist?
Hmm! I can’t remember that now, but I am sure it could be one of Kirk Franklin’s album.

What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Hmm lots of songs but right now, I think MADE A WAY by Travis Greene

What is your favorite saying?
Go get It

What other hobbies or interests do you have?

Do you have any tattoos or piercings?

Tell us more about your upcoming project or this new project?
I call it the PRAISE PROJECT. It’s a dairy of my thanksgiving to God for His unchanging love towards a man like me and how His mighty hands keep performing wonders in my life. You know, I can’t thank Him enough no matter how I try, but I can always do what I can do to express my gratitude to Him at all times. So the praise project will contain mostly songs of praise in different genres. But the one I am releasing this Friday is a super High life medley I did with my brothers James Edikan and Progress Effiong and was produced by sunny baseda. It’s a great Akwa Ibom/Nigerian high life medley that will bless you. We also decided to make a video of the live session of this medley and we will be showing that to you this Friday on the AKBC TV channel 45 at 7.30am.

What’s in the pipeline after this project?
Just waiting on the Holy Spirit for the next move but I am sure it’s something big. So let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Odee has been Making music less than two years but he proved to the world that he “Made it” In his recently released Debut Single tittle “I Made It”
